Hanukkah reminds us that even when the darkness seems too thick, it is not final; it can always be dispelled with Light!
One of the main tasks of our community is to care for elderly people who have had difficult lives, who have gone through different times and experienced many losses and trials. Very often today, they are left alone with their problems. That is why it is so important to be there for them.
This year, as every year, we once again gathered the participants of our “Golden Age” to celebrate Hanukkah at the Central Synagogue of Ukraine. Despite the war, anxiety, and pain around them... within the walls of the synagogue, at a specially organized event, they can escape from the harsh reality and immerse themselves in sincere and genuine joy. Where laughter, music, warmth, lots of hugs, bright eyes, and heartfelt moments reign. And all this is for them!
