And it is very symbolic that on the eve of these days of miracles, I met and blessed the commander of the religious division of the Israel Defense Forces, “Hashmonaim,” which was the name of the family of Kohanim who, more than 2,500 years ago, gathered a small detachment and rose up in rebellion against the ancient Greek empire, which at that time was the most powerful army, but they, the Hashmonaim, won! Although they fought against a very strong and numerous enemy, this is one of the miracles of Hanukkah.
