I am very grateful to Jewish youth for participating in such events, because religious holidays are not just about fun and parties. Jews celebrate holidays by filling them with meaning, not just noisy entertainment. This is our Torah, and this is what unites us!
The Central Synagogue of Ukraine hosted an intellectual competition called “What? Where? When?” among Jewish communities in Kyiv and the surrounding region.
This intellectual game was dedicated to the holiday of Hanukkah and provided an excellent opportunity to bring the Jewish community together once again.
Teams from the following organizations competed for the title of the most knowledgeable and a cash prize: the Halom Jewish Community Center; the international Jewish student organization Hillel; the Belotserkovsk Jewish community; and the JYK PREMIUM youth educational Jewish program, which I support.
