I had the honor of welcoming Igor Bezkaravayny, Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture of Ukraine, to the Central Synagogue of Ukraine

It is particularly important to me that he is not only a government official but also a veteran and a Defender of Ukraine. In 2015, he participated in combat operations in the east as part of the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade, now known as “Kholodny Yar,” where he was seriously wounded after stepping on an anti-tank mine

During the meeting, we discussed supporting people during wartime, the reconstruction of Ukraine, and the importance of maintaining a living connection between the government, society, and religious communities
