New Year of Hasidism

Today, according to the Jewish calendar, is the 19th of Kislev, the day when Jews around the world celebrate the New Year of Hasidism and the beginning of a new spiritual cycle!

This is the date when the emergence of the Light of Hasidism, which Baal Shem Tov brought into the world almost three centuries ago, is celebrated! One of the key ideas of Hasidism is that a person can rise even from the deepest abyss and dispel the darkest darkness if there is faith in oneself and in the Almighty in one's heart!

This day is also special for Ukraine. It was here, in Ukrainian cities, that the path of Hasidism was born-Medzhybizh, Berdichev, Uman, Nezhin, Gadyach-great righteous people lived and departed from this material world in these cities, and these are the special places that unite many Jews from all corners of the globe.
