Bar Mitzvah celebration of the son of Asher Cherkassky

I was in Dnipro for the Bar Mitzvah celebration of the son of Asher Cherkassky, a respected member of the Jewish community of Dnipro, a military man, and a defender of Ukraine.

It was a great joy for me to join the celebration because I have great respect for Asher Cherkassky, a religious Jew who has been defending Ukraine on the front lines since the beginning of the war in 2014.

I also had a good conversation with the Chief Rabbi of Dnipro, Shmuel Kaminetsky. We talked about the life and development of the Jewish community during the war, as well as the Jewish community's assistance to Ukraine.

I am grateful to the Jewish community of Dnipro for their very warm welcome and special atmosphere!
