Ukraine celebrates Volunteer Day

Today, Ukraine celebrates Volunteer Day

On this day, we remember and honor all those who, out of the goodness of their hearts and without being ordered to do so, stood up to defend their country

People from various professions, faiths, and even different countries have stood up to defend the civilian population of Ukraine

Among them was Benjamin Asher, call sign “Nemo,” a Jewish citizen of Hungary who voluntarily came to Ukraine, fought in the ranks of the 3rd OSBr, and gave his life for the freedom of the Ukrainian people

Recently, in his honor, we planted a memorial tree in the Jewish town of Anatovka near the “Mattityahu” house, which I built in memory of my fallen son. The ceremony was attended by his father, Nathan, who traveled from abroad for this occasion, his comrades, and other guests

May this tree grow as a sign of gratitude to all the volunteers who stood on the side of good and justice

Thank you to all the volunteers!

Eternal memory to the fallen Heroes!
