Today, as a terrible war continues in Ukraine, and after October 7, 2023, Israel experienced one of the worst attacks on Jews since the Shoah, the memory of those events hurts even more
Had the honor to participate in the ceremony of commemoration for Yom Hashoah - Day of Shoah and Heroism, which was organized by NATIV Ukraine - Israeli Cultural Center and the Embassy of Israel in Ukraine
On this day we bow our heads in memory of the six million Jews murdered in the Holocaust. About the families wiped off the face of the earth. Of the children who did not have time to grow up. About communities destroyed along with synagogues.
But it is also a day of pride for those who did not break. Who resisted, rescued, hid, prayed until their last breath. In the darkest of times, these people kept the light alive.
