Eliot Engel

It is with deep sadness that I learned of the passing of Congressman Eliot Engel - an American politician and former chairman of the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Foreign Affairs

He was a steadfast and sincere friend of Israel and Ukraine—he supported the provision of defensive weapons, advocated for tougher sanctions against russia, backed the Euro-Atlantic path, and co-authored important legislative initiatives in support of Ukraine.

I had the honor of knowing him personally. He was a man of principles, with a deep understanding of global processes and sincere support for those fighting for freedom

The world has lost a powerful voice for truth and justice
