After Shabbat, our community gathered at Babyn Yar to light the fourth candle of Hanukkah. This symbolizes the victory of light over darkness, of hope over despair.
Babyn Yar, the site of tragic events, reminds us of the importance of remembrance and unity. By lighting Hanukkah candles here, we honor the dead and affirm our commitment to life and freedom.
The fourth candle of Hanukkah emphasizes that even in the darkest of times, there is room for wonder and rebirth. May its light bring peace, hope and victory to all of Ukraine.
