Honorary distinctions and awards from the Minister of Defense of Ukraine

During a ceremony at the Central Synagogue of Ukraine in honor of the lighting of the first Hanukkah candle,

Colonel Oleksandr Vovkotecha, Head of the Military Chaplaincy Service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, presented honorary distinctions and awards from the Minister of Defense of Ukraine and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to my eldest son Yoel, my middle son Mendel, Chief Jewish Chaplain David Milman, and my first assistant Yakov.

They were recognized for their systematic humanitarian assistance to the Ukrainian army, support for evacuation efforts, provision of medical and protective equipment to hospitals, and spiritual support for soldiers.
