Today, on International Volunteer Day, I would like to express my deep respect and admiration for all those who have decided to dedicate their - and many have even laid down their lives - to helping others.
You are the real heroes of our time, who despite the difficulties, do good and save lives!
Volunteering is not just an activity, it is a calling. Moreover, in Jewish tradition, helping others plays a very big role! The Talmud says, “He who saves one life saves the whole world.”
Each of you is part of a great story of humanity, heroism and the victory of good over evil. May G-d bless you for your good deeds, protect you and your loved ones, and help us all to find peace and victory
I also want to note Jewish volunteers from Ukraine, Israel and other countries of the world, who work every day to help the army and civilian population
Light will overcome the darkness!
