Michael Malkieli
I had a very productive and fruitful meeting with my good friend Michael Malkieli-a minister in the Israeli government and leader of the Shas party, which is part of the Knesset’s parliamentary majority and plays an active role in making important government decisions
I thanked him for his prompt response to my official letter regarding Israel’s policy on grain procurement, particularly russian grain, some of which may originate from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine
During the meeting, we also discussed the current state of Ukrainian-Israeli relations, issues of support for Ukraine, and the further development of cooperation between the countries in various spheres
We paid particular attention to opportunities for strengthening cooperation between Ukraine and Israel at the state, humanitarian, and public levels. In these difficult times for both countries, it is important to maintain a constant dialogue, seek new areas of cooperation, and strengthen friendly ties between our peoples
Incidentally, Michael Malkieli has visited Ukraine on multiple occasions at my invitation and sincerely supports the Ukrainian people in their struggle for freedom
