Major conference of European rabbis

I had the honor of participating in a major conference of European rabbis held in Krakow on the occasion of the opening of a new Jewish center—an important spiritual and educational event for the entire Jewish people. As Chief Rabbi of Ukraine, I felt a special responsibility representing the Ukrainian community at this prestigious international gathering.

This conference brought together the leading spiritual leaders of European Jewry. The discussions focused on current challenges, issues of unity, support, and protection of Jewish institutions. In many conversations, I spoke about Ukraine, the terrible war unleashed by Russia, and I am grateful to my colleagues for their solidarity, attention, and support. It is important that the voice of Ukrainian Jewry be heard among European rabbis and throughout the world!

In addition to the formal events, we also visited the Auschwitz concentration camp, a place of indescribable pain, where we prayed for the souls of millions of victims. It was a moment of silence that spoke louder than a thousand words!
