Memorial to Holocaust victims

Belopolye in the Sumy region

A few days ago, immediately after International Holocaust Remembrance Day, a russian air bomb struck the center of Belopolye in the Sumy region, destroying residential buildings and a memorial to Holocaust victims that had been erected by the city's Jewish community in conjunction with local authorities.

Nearby, an old building of the former Jewish ghetto, established by Hitler's Nazis, was also damaged. A 35-year-old resident of the city was killed in the same strike, and eleven other people were injured...

This is not the first, or even the tenth, time that the russian army has “denazified” a memorial dedicated to Holocaust victims or a Jewish cemetery.

A few days ago, as a result of the “liberation” of Kyiv and the surrounding area from light and heat by russian missiles and drones, a 90-year-old grandmother who survived the Holocaust but did not survive “denazification” died.

I pray for a miracle that will help the people of Ukraine to endure, punish evil, and bring about a true and just peace!
