National Shabbat

For the first time in history, the United States of America has officially declared a National Shabbat!

Donald Trump, who is not Jewish but Christian, signed a special proclamation highlighting the significance of Shabbat and the Jewish community’s contribution to American history

This is a very powerful and beautiful gesture of respect for Jewish tradition. After all, Shabbat is a time when a person pauses from their constant hustle and bustle, thanks the Almighty for everything, prays and spends time with family, reflects on and evaluates their life, in silence, away from gadgets, work chats, TikTok, Reels, and other distractions

It is especially significant that such a decision is made by the leader of the world’s leading nation, who himself belongs to a different religion. This is proof that genuine respect for the faith and traditions of another people can unite people!

In a world where there is so much division and hatred, such steps demonstrate mutual respect and freedom of religion—which are the foundation of a healthy society!
