Mitzvotanks are special mobile centers that travel to different parts of the world to bring the light of Jewish tradition, to inspire people to keep the commandments and to remind them of the importance of faith even in the most difficult of times
A few days ago I arrived in Israel to attend to important matters, and on the eighth day of Hanukkah I had the honor of traveling with the Mitzvotanks (commandment tanks) to the soldiers who defend the borders of our holy land of Israel
Mitzvotanks are special mobile centers that travel to different parts of the world to bring the light of Jewish tradition, to inspire people to keep the commandments and to remind them of the importance of faith even in the most difficult of times
This time we traveled to the borders with Lebanon and Syria. In places where the darkness seems thickest, we lit Hanukkah candles with the soldiers who risk their lives daily in defense of their country.
Hanukkah reminds us that even a single candle can dispel a great darkness. And when that light is combined with courage and dedication, it becomes insurmountable.
May the light of Hanukkah guard all who stand for peace and justice, and give strength to us all to overcome all challenges. Light always wins!
