Purim

We held a celebration for our dear elderly parishioners, who are a true treasure of the Jewish community of Kyiv. Purim is a holiday of joy and liberation, when Jews remember how the Almighty turned the fate of the Jewish people in ancient Persia from a fatal situation to triumph!

Despite the constant shelling and anxiety, which are much harder for elderly people to endure, we try to make this a pleasant and warm holiday for them. We read the Megillah (the scroll that tells the story of the Purim miracle) with them, distributed mishloach manot gifts, and organized a heartfelt concert.
