May the memory of this great Tzadik be eternal and his merits protect all those who fight against evil!
Today, on the 20th of Iyar, we remember the holy soul of Rabbi Mordechai ben Rabbi Menachem Nohum of Twersky, the Magid of Chernobyl, a great righteous man, a sage and a spiritual giant who left us an unquenchable light.
His path was a path of modesty, kindness and boundless faith. His heart was open to everyone - to those who sought to learn Torah, and to those who simply needed help or a word of encouragement
His resting place is near our miracle town of Anatevka. Many of Rabbi Mordechai's Hasidim, even in spite of the danger, because of the war, come to his grave at this unusual place of strength. He himself chose this location, by the river and among nature, so that his soul could rest in silence and holiness
May the memory of this great Tzadik be eternal and his merits protect all those who fight against evil!
