Dear friends,
The final days of Pesach are approaching - the seventh and eighth, the concluding days of this great festival of freedom.
This night is special.
It was on this very night, on the seventh day after the miraculous exodus of the people of Israel from Egyptian slavery, that the Almighty performed one of the greatest miracles in history.
He parted the waters of the sea, and the people of Israel walked through the seabed as if on dry land.
And the enemies - Pharaoh’s elite chariots, which were chasing after them - were swallowed up by the waters, forever separating the people of Israel, the people of the Almighty, from their former life of slavery in Egypt.
It is written in the prophet Micah:
“As in the days of your exodus from the land of Egypt - I will show you wonders.”
Our sages explain: the miracles of the future Redemption will be incomparably greater than those that occurred during the Exodus from Egypt.
Today, in these difficult times, these words resonate with particular power.
I pray that we may be worthy to see the great salvation of the Almighty.
That light may triumph over darkness.
That all evil forces may be overthrown.
That true liberation may come.
May the Mashiach come.
May true, just, and eternal peace reign on earth.
