The most horrific nights in Jewish history—Kristallnacht

Nov 11, 2025

On the night of November 9-10, 1938, hundreds of synagogues were burned, thousands of Jewish shops and homes were destroyed, and innocent people were killed simply because they were Jewish.

Yesterday, we remembered one of the most horrific nights in Jewish history—Kristallnacht. It was the night that marked the beginning of the Holocaust, when Hitler's Nazis carried out their first attack on Jews, legalizing hatred and violence against them.

On the night of November 9-10, 1938, hundreds of synagogues were burned, thousands of Jewish shops and homes were destroyed, and innocent people were killed simply because they were Jewish.

Eighty-six years have passed, but humanity is once again facing a terrible evil. Now it is russia, iran, north korea, and their satellites, as well as all those who justify terrorists, who blame the victims, who silently watch as cities are destroyed, children are kidnapped, and people are killed!

Ukrainians, like Jews, know what it means to lose their homes, hide their children from missiles, and ask G-d to protect their loved ones. Both of our peoples are experiencing pain and understand each other well. Because just as the Jews were targeted for extermination for being Jews, so now Ukrainians are being killed by russia for being Ukrainians.

And that is precisely why it is our duty to prevent history from repeating itself!
