Together with Pastor Mark Burns we visited Babiy Yar

Mar 31, 2025

Today, when Ukraine is again experiencing a terrible war in which civilians are killed, houses of prayer are destroyed, and human life is despised - the memory of Babi Yar takes on a special weight. It reminds us that the silence and indifference of the world is also a weapon in the hands of evil

Together with Pastor Mark Burns we visited Babiy Yar, one of the most terrible places in the history of the Jewish people, where during World War II Hitler's Nazis shot hundreds of thousands of innocent people, among whom the vast majority were Jews.

I had the honor of saying a prayer for the souls of the victims, and together with our guest of honor, we honored the victims who lost their lives only because of their nationality, faith and background. Pastor Burns was deeply struck by the tragedy and symbolism of this place
