On June 5, Russia destroyed the Kakhovka damn, causing extensive and dangerous flooding in the Kherson Oblast region. The flooding is causing a critical ecological and humanitarian disaster. It's estimated that, as of now, 600 sq. km are underwater and 40,000 people are in danger.
The true impact of the disaster will not be realized for weeks as the flooding takes effect on infrastructure, power, drinking water, and the nearby nuclear power plant.
Meanwhile, Russian snipers and artillery continue to pound rescue workers as they operate in the most critically effected areas. Despite this, Rabbi Azman and a group of determined volunteers arrived on the morning of June 8 with two boats, two Mitzvah Tanks, an amphibious Sherp, and EMT equipment. Des
